UXWiki Guide

Thanks for your interest in contributing to UXWiki. We couldn't exist without UXers like yourself.

Here are some instructions below for how to use DokuWiki, (the platform UXWiki is built on). Or you can view the full DokuWiki manual

Create, Edit, Delete a Page

You must be signed into your account to make any changes to UXWiki. If you don't have an account, please register here.

Your new wiki page or your edits to an existing page may include links. If you create a link to a page that doesn't exist, it will be red.

Go on, follow that link and click the edit button to add content to the new page. As soon as you add content, the page will now exist. If you need help with using the syntax you can always refer to the syntax page.

To delete a page.

  1. Navigate to the page you want to delete.
  2. Click the + icon on the bottom right
  3. Click “delete page”
  4. Click “Ok”

Alternatively, I can delete all the content of the page. The link will turn orange. Then you delete the link and it's gone!

Customize your Wiki

Once you're comfortable with creating and editing pages you might want to have a look at the configuration settings (be sure to login as superuser first).

You may also want to see what plugins and templates are available at DokuWiki.org to extend the functionality and looks of your DokuWiki installation.
