A CRO plan or process will answer the following 3 questions:1)

  1. What drives people to the website?
  2. What turns people away from the website?
  3. What persuades people to convert?


Prospects may be attracted to your website through different channels:

  • Google search for related terms
  • Paid advertising
  • Social media
  • blog post
  • friend's recommendation
  • Google search for unrelated terms (accident)

By understanding different audiences, you can then:

  1. Pick the best customer segment that aligns with your business strategy
  2. Design the customer experience and messaging for that segment.
